THE FULL STORY
While Will may be a software engineer, he is just as content solving a mathematical puzzle or debugging complex code as he is drafting narratives about far-off adventures, cooking, or playing music. Often found with a cup of coffee in hand, he's been playing games since he was very young and today aspires to craft the worlds of video games that have enraptured him throughout his life.

Currently Will works as a Rendering Engineer at That's No Moon Entertainment on an upcoming, unannounced project.
Previously, he worked at Dire Wolf Digital, an an award-winning game studio specializing in digital board games.
He has found his passion in multi-platform game development and is skilled in a variety of coding languages including C++ and C#. He also has experience with Unity and Unreal Engine, as well as a familiarity with artistic industry tools such as Maya and Blender.

Will is most happy working on a team, bouncing ideas back and forth, and collaborating to come up with something great. He's eager to learn and excited to face challenges and solve problems. If this sounds like someone you want to work with or if you want to talk about game design and the future of computer graphics (or why intelligence doesn't HAVE to be your dump stat as a barbarian), reach out to him at wbeldenb@gmail.com.

D&D + GAME DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Will's experience with game design goes as far back as childhood, when he would spends countless hours drawing mazes filled with monsters, each with their own story and abilities. In fact his parents didn't even let him own video games until he was nearly 10 years old! Because of this much of his passion grew, and still lays, on the tabletop.

Will was first introduced to Dungeons & Dragons when he was very young and was instantly hooked. The multidisciplinary hobby of miniature craft, encounter design, story writing, world building, and so much more that went into a game some see as just some dice and miniatures on a gridded mat helped him build problem solving, and conflict resolution skills. Today Will is DM for a bi-weekly game that has been going on for nearly three years, allowing him to practice building narratives that enrapture people from diverse backgrounds while fostering teamwork and inter-group communication.
After years of writing pen and paper D&D modules, he was introduced to the wonderful world of programming and video game development. Will has learned good game design is as complicated a craft as any traditional art form. Famed Chef Marco Pierre White says that "Perfection is a lot of little things done right," which could not hold more true for game design. Sometimes it's the smallest details, like subtle flavors in a dish, that make a game extraordinary.
